Hi Everyone, I am very new to this forum, and am in dire need of help! I applied for PR through CEC from Montreal, November 2013. Last Week all my processing was done and I got my passport request saying that my application was approved. But yesterday suddenly I received an email saying that I have to submit proof that I would move out of Quebec and that my file was reopened again and would be processed again.

Has anyone had a similar situation? Being approved and then they change their mind? Please could anyone help me with this!!!

Province of Quebec has it's own program to recruit immigrants under Canadian experience class. once your application is approved you have to leave Quebec and live in any other province since you were granted your PR under different rules

If you're living in Quebec, you could try Quebec's immigration programs. The CEC equivalent for Quebec would be PEQ. Processing time for PEQ is much faster than CEC's.

have you changed your address during the course? have you provided any evidence before you get approved? I am going to be in the same situation so just want to learn from your case.

The major roadblock for OP (I am assuming) like my self is the French proficiency requirement. To be eligible for PEQ, French has to be reached in B2 level, which is intermediate advanced or 1800 hours in government-approved courses. For people who have 0 knowledge of French and working as full time, this is nearly impossible to accomplish in a short time.

If you really don't want to live in the province of Quebec, then now is the time to leave. You'll find another job sooner or later, and I believe getting PR is worth losing a couple of pay checks. This is the best advice I could give to anyone and you won't regret doing it.

You need to move out of Quebec and prove it to complete your application.

You need to provide proof that you really are planning on living outside of the province of Quebec. Do you have a job offer outside of Quebec? If so, how soon can you move and start that job?
