hello,

I think my situation might be a little complicated. But I really need any one who knows how the system works or has similar situation with me help me out.

This is my second express entry application. I applied under BC pnp and passed it in december 2015. I transfer 600 points to my express entry and got invited to apply for permanent residence. I got rejected on feburary 2016, because I failed to submit the required documents they requested later.

Then I applied again and submitted my documents on May 2016. I paid for agents to look through my documents before I submitted just to make sure everything is all good this time. But 4 months has passed and my status is still "review of eligibility in progress".

I emailed CIC twice, asking for help. Because average processing time is less than 50 days, and mine is way over 60 days longer than normal processing time. But they only told me that my application is still in progress and there is no maximum time limit for processing the application.

So, I looked back into my cic account again and noticed that even through my last permanent residence was rejected, it still showed "action is required" on the home page. I click in and don't know which action can I do.

I don't know if this is the reason that my application time is extremely long. But just to eliminate the problem, if anyone knows what to do in this situation please help me.

thank you thank you thank you so much.

The processing time is 6 months, not 50 days - I don't know where you got that from.

You shouldn't panic. 4 months of waiting is not extremely long. There are many people on this forum (including myself) who have been waiting for 12 or more months. That is extremely long processing time.

Review of eligibility will stay in progress until your COPR is issued and your case is closed.

Also, what you have been looking at online is the issuance of the PR card, which is what you receive after you land. Average processing time for PR application is 6 months.
