Hi, thanks for helping people

After I graduate 3 year college, I got PGWP. Since July 2014, I have been working in the lab as "graduate Student Researcher" (NOC 4012 / Paid).
I read some Q/A, and many people said different thing about this job type.
Am I qualified for applying PR by EE? if answer is "yes" then which category am I in? (CEC or FSW)
Also, can I use above almost year and 4 month work experience as "Canadian Working Experience"?

I am so confused and frustrated, if my whole time might become useless....for getting PR...

Please give me some hope..

Thanks

If you are doing this job full-time and are not studying at the same time, then yes, you can apply under CEC category

I agree with rafzy; you're all good to go if you attained this experience in Canada after completion of your studies, then you are all fit for Canadian Experience Class :)

Thanks,
My job was not officially "Full Time", but I worked 30hrs per week, and my contract was continually renewed every four month....
Will that be a problem? for applying CEC?

was it part time? it has to be mentioned clearly in the experience letter that what was the format of the job i.e. part-time or full-time :)

Thanks for quick answer "feejay87"
Yes, it is "part time job", so will that cause any other problems?
I gained working experience (equivalent time 1560hrs) from one working place except I renewed my contract every four month...
I hope that will not lead any problems...

Thanks

No, it certainly won't :); whether you worked part-time or full time , the number of hrs worked should be 30/week (minimum), the requirement you are meeting :)

Thanks again,
One more quick question, during my working period, sometimes I worked 35hrs per week, and sometimes I worked only 24hrs per week.
Is this might problem...?

All that matters is what written on the letter :), make sure what written on your letter should be verified accordingly by your HR/letter issuer as well fulfill CIC's requirement too :)

I am not sure about this "letter stuff" yet, because I did not make my profile yet.
I am guessing that when I prepare all document for creating my profile, I will need document(letter)....right?
So as you suggested, I will be super careful for preparing letters with proper CIC's requirement.
Is there anything you want to give me? like "tips" or "advise"

feejay87...I really appreciate you all help, you helped me a lot.
If you do not mind, can I ask things, if I got into trouble during applying EE?

Again thanks a lot

your always welcome :), just ask your employer/authorized person to furnish letter for you keeping in view the important things which are mandatory as to be the contents of the letter required by CIC such as

Title : Correlating with the chosen NOC
Job Nature: Part time/Full Time
Department
Date of Joining
Name of Immediate head
Date of ending (if applicable)
Number of hours per week (should be minimum of 30)
Annual Salary
Additional benefits : such as medical, conveyance, flexi-hours etc.
Job Description : Should be in alignment with the chosen NOC

all this stuff should be on the company's letter head, signed (mandatory) and stamped (optional) by the letter issuer/authorized person :)

In Canada, 30 hours/week or more is full-time.

Look, for any advice to be valid, you have to tell us - are you a graduate student, or not? If you are not a graduate student, then you are not a GRA, but an RA.

Hi, sorry for shortage of information.
I finished college in Canada on June 2014, then I have been working in college lab as "Graduate Student Employment"(from my contract) since then.
I asked my NOC classification to supervisor, then he told me mine is "NOC 4012 College Laboratory Assistant"
Is there any difference or disadvantage between GRA and RA in terms of applying CEC?

Thanks

Under CEC, you cannot count experience gained while you were a full-time student in Canada. That is the difference.
