Dear friends,
please give me some idea

1. I have a job offer letter and valid LMIA

2. Now i applied for the open work permit visa from india, 26th march 2015, i am still waiting for the result

3. My question is this!!.. with the same LMIA and the job offer letter can i creat my profile for pr express entry in a parrelle or should i wait to get the reuslt first.

You applied for a closed work permit - not an open work permit - correct? A job offer and valid LMIA allow you to apply for a closed work permit (not an open work permit).

skylla can u please explain what is closed work permit and open work permit??? really i don't know the meaning for both, In CANADA vfs bangalore they said it's considred as a open work permit.

Closed Work Permit is tied to Employer. In most of the cases except few, a LMIA has to be issued. You can't change your employer in Canada unless you are issued a new work permit which might be again supported by LMIA.

Open Work Permit- Generally issued to spouse of Candidate who gets Closed Work Permit, if the primary applicant is NOC 0, A, B category(High-Skilled jobs). Also, issued to spouse of student. With Open Work permit, you are not tied to employer. You can change your job as and when required and employer doesn't have the burden of getting a LMIA or new work permit.
