Hi Everyone. Just want to confirm about the IELTS thing with you guys. I wrote my IELTS on 16 April 2011. So as per CIC, my results are valid for 2 years right. So if i submit my file in april 2012, will it be good till 2013?. Or the VO will say that the score is expired. I think CIC would assess my file in 2012 and affirm a YES/NO.

As per current rules - Yes.

Not sure if any rule changes in future....

Yeah thanks murthy for giving your opinion. Hopefully i apply before something nasty happens.lol..!

I was reading the news they are going to increase the number of applciatione ach year under CEC category and sure future applicants may be six months from now can expaect longer time delays than what it is currently, unless they will also focus and put some more ofiicers to handle teh files quickly which is very likely because the article in newpaper also mentioned they wanna boost his category of immigrations so they can make more and more people Landed immigrants so they will stay here and become a part of Canada's ecenomy.

hi. you don't have to worry about your IELTS. it says in the instruction, that it is valid for 2 years. 2 years will be based on the date your application was filed and not the assessment period. so if your IELTS expires on april 2013, and you submitted your application and they received it in march 2013, you are still safe. :)
