I think you will qualify under the new Federal skilled trade class (FSWTC). You should checkout the section on taged ( New Federal skilled worker and New Federal skilled worker Trade Class ) in this forum ,there will be more help and info for you there.

Try doing a search in the Fort McMurray area, the oil sands. Lots of development in places like that in Northern Alberta. Look on JobBank. Also check out the new trades stream as you wouldn't have to come WITH a job if you qualify to immigrate that way. Just have to have the required number of points. It would be easier in the long run I think. All the best.
