Please, i need answer for below.

my father In-law is currently on visitor in US and at the same time have vaid Canada Visitor visa till Aug end this year.

My Uncle had travlled to Canada for a week in Aug this year and went back to US and there is entry date on the passport which was in Aug this year.

now, I need him to stay here in Canada with us from january-2014 for 6 months.

So, Can he stay for 6 months in Canada ( From jan/2014) or he had to leave in February 2014 (6 months from entry date)as he has the entry date in Aug-2013.)?

Please suggest .

Once he return to Canada in Jan, he should apply to extend his stay in Canada up until June 2014.

So you meant even though he has valid visitor visa till Aug/2013 he should still apply for extension to stay?

where we can do request the extension shout it be whether in Service canada or Immigration office in Ottawa?
