Hi all
I just compleated my studies in canada and applied for work permit and most probably it would come for 3 years
Luckily the employer with whom i am working agreed to provide me LMIA too
i am also eligible for express entry if i get 8777 in ielts but writing sucks always and i stuck at 6.5
So, is it possible for me to accept LMIA??? I HEARD THAT AS I DONT HAVE ANY CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE I CANT HAVE LMIA...
PLEASE CLARIFY......

The LMIA is in case you want to claim the points for valid job offer. In this case, your employer has to prove that no Canadian can do the job he is offering you.

If you are in IT, you can apply through Global Talent Stream where the employer does not need to prove that they have done enough to find Canadian Employees. but if you are not in IT, they must go through the whole process to get LMIA where they need to demonstrate why they need a foreign employees.

Exactly, so it s not about op accepting or not he lmia. Employer needs to get a positive lmia first. Then he could claim the points for express entry. He is not even close for now. ..

All you need to prove is that you meet the job requirements, and you can do that by providing your training certificates, degree, and foreign work experience.

Your employer needs to get the LMIA first. Can he prove that no other Canadian can do the job. You said yourself you have no experience in Canada but do you have any for the position he is offering? Anyway you will need to wait for the LMIA answer.

Thanks alot for your reply... really appreciate...
I am Working with employer from the last 1 and a half month..so he says he gonna say that chances are there for a positive lmia... Rest as you said have to wait till lmia answer
