My Background check stated ‘we are processing your background check’ until 12th June and now it states ‘your application is in progress’, I reckon it means I’m now in IP1? How long does it take until we get our PPR after status changes to IP1? I know it’s really hard to predict but just for an average understanding?!
The reason being my passport expires in Jan 2020 and in July 2019, my passport will have only 6 more months of validity. I’m just worried as if I give my Indian passport for renewal here in Australia, it will usually take around a month or so for me to get my new one, so in the meantime, if I get my PPR I’ll have to apply for extension for passport submission and then submit my passport. So that’s going to take another 2.5 months finally to get my CoPR!
Do I submit my passport for renewal or do I wait?
