Hi all,

I am not sure what i am doing wrong or what i am missing under the Foreign work experience section. Below is the calcuation from the CRS Tool which gave me 76 points.

Skill transferability factors
Education

A) Official Language proficiency and education = 13
B) Canadian work experience and education = 13

Subtotal = 26
Foreign work experience

*****A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 25 *****
B) Canadian and foreign work experience B) = 25

Subtotal = 50
Certificate of qualification = 0
Subtotal Skill transferability factors = 76

For some reason in the express entry it does not add the 25 points. I took my ielts test and i have 3 years of foreign work experience.

Below is what shows in my express entry profile

CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 26
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 26

I did not have and ECA assessment, could that be the reason the points are missing or is there a glitch in the system?
I wrote my ielts again to improve my mark and ncrease my points, but even after getting better ielts marks express entry did not change my marks at all.

If the education you completed was outside of Canada then you can only get points for it with a valid ECA report, which shows the Canadian equivalence for it.

Based on your EE profile, and your information, it seems you have :
- a degree, and CLB7/9 IELTS score (13 points in Education)
- a degree, and 1 year of Canadian work experience (13 points in Foreign Work Experience)
- 1 or 2 year foreign work experience, and CLB7/9 IELTS score (13 points in Foreign Work Experience)
- 1 or 2 year foreign work experience, and 1 year of Canadian work experience (13 points in Education)

What did you declare for your work experience ? Maybe the foreign doesn't add up to 3 full years...
Missing a month or two, not full-time, not Skill Type 0, A or B ?

This link has the full details on how EE criteria are assessed: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/express-entry.asp
(Foreign Work is at the end of the page)

I have and declared 1 year work experience in noc b in Canada and 3 years foreign work experience. I am wondering if getting my credentials assessed will help. i studied in Canada and graduated from a 3 year program also. Someone told me that i do not need to asses my credentials since i took ielts and have graduated from a Canadian institution.

That's right, I did masters in Canada and that is what I mentioned in the EE profile. You don't need your ECA if you have a masters or equivalent degree in Canada.

That is very unusual, usually CRS tool is pretty accurate. I will try another application and just mention the Masters in education field. Also, make sure the English score is correct.

karmicYogi yes everything is correct when i try it but just not getting the same results.Just a quick question,when you are applying in the EE,how many qualifacation sections do you make?I've made 3.So that's my high school from back home and my other degree from back home which are not assessed.And then my actual 3year canadian degree.keep in mind i re-wrote my ielts and i got a better score,which when i try in the calculator it bumps me up but when i try and update it in the ee its still stuck at the same old score as before.

I just made one column in Qualification for my masters nothing else. Try doing that. Make a new profile from scratch, this is definitely an error in application.

karmicYogi thanks alot,i will try that after i go off from work.But in order to get foreign points and other stuff i don't need to put all those credentials? :D because in the calculator it actually adds the foreign category points and i just thought adding that give more points?

You can add foreign work ex, but I am not sure your education matters as you will get about 110 for Masters in Canada.
