Dear friends,

I am planing to apply for a student visa but as I went through some infos. it looks like there are three categories, spp, general & university. I am not sure under which category my course falls. I ve applied for a religious course called M.Div. and the college is Toronto Baptist Seminary & Bible college, Toronto, Ontario. Please help me!

FYI - because of the school you are attending is private, you won't qualify for an off campus work permit or post graduate work permit.

Where are you from? SPP is only for India and China I suppose.

1. This is the list of colleges under SPP. You can apply under SPP only if you are applying to one of these colleges and only for the first time. SPP is only for first time applicants. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/spp-ppe.aspx?lang=eng

2. University Category is for applicants applying to study at the University.

3. General Category- for students (first time applicants or second time or .....) applying to colleges which are not under SPP.

4. NOTE - students who are refused under SPP, can apply again in general category to any college, SPP or not.

Your College falls under General Category. I hope that cleared your doubt.
