Hey guys, what should you do if your Permanent resident visa issued while you're visiting in Canada ?

Throw a party!

2'nd That :P .....You would have to Exit and Re-enter Canada to Officially Land :)

lol !

as far as I know.........there is no reason why you cant have your family member send it to your address in Canada. You then go to the border and 'land' ! Welcome to Canada. Your share of our national debt is about $18,000.00 8)

my visitor visa expires March 21, and I haven't extended it yet..I received PPR today, I have to send it ASAP and they will send it back in 4 weeks..I can't leave now as i can't afford the plan ticket and I'm really sick ( having heart problem )

thanks guys, I don't understand how to go to the border lol, which border ??

The one nearest you. US border , just tell them you are only going to land , I heard its fairly easy.

where abouts in Canada are you. ? ie... if you are around southern Ontario...then go to Buffalo/Erie.

not sure about Calgary area....im sure someone will post shortly.

You are almost finished ! Hang in there ! :D

+1! Best laugh I've had in a long while over this whole process!!!!

driving from Calgary to Montana is 10 hours, its too much for me to handle (health condition) can I take the plan ? is there any other choice ? thank you so much for your time

Sorry to hear about your health problems. Montana border is only about 4 hours drive I think , but if you have a US visa or you're from a visa-exempt country yes you can take a flight. You can take any international flight (any destination) and when you come back to Canada airport that's where you can land as a permanent resident.

Actually you can read this thread. the nearest border is only 250 km away
