Manitoba PNP should not think that you lied when you applied for PR and that you never intended to settle there. In order for them not to think that, you should spend at least 6 months in Manitoba after you landed as a PR. If you have already spent 6 months in Manitoba as a PR, then you are free to go. There are no cases as far as I know of a PNP going after PRs for leaving but in case they do in the future, you should at least stay your 6 months so you can say that your intention was to settle in Manitoba when you landed.

Hi Leon,

Thank you Leon. In my case, I only stay in Manitoba less than 2 months and I need to go back in US to finish my obligations to my employer. I will go back to Canada but maybe in different province. If I decided to move to other province, will there be any problem in renewing my PR status and applying for citizenship? Please I need your inputs on my situation. Thank you Leon

Like I said, as far as I know, there are no cases where a PNP has gone after a PR who left. If they ever start to do that, the 6 months is your insurance that they do not think you were planning on settling in another province when you landed.

So as long as you spent 2 months in Manitoba and you will now spend probably at least a few months in the US, you can say, if they ever ask you, that at the time you landed, you were fully intending to settle in MB but during those months, your plans changes, you got a job offer from another province, whatever.
