Dear Seniors,

I am waiting for my passport that i sent to Detroit for visa stamping. Currently, i am at home since my work permit already expired.
Once i received my passport, i plan to go back to my home country, Philippines. Is this procedure ok rather than having an exit in the border?

Coming back to Canada, i will just use my visa and CoPR, is it enough? or i still need work permit?

Kindly advise, i am quite confuse and im getting worried on this.

I think you will be ok. The Pr visa is enough. And you can leave and come back anyway you want to into canada to land.

Thanks for your reply' greatly appreacited.

So it means this is the one method of landing' to go back to my home country and when i enter Canada only then i apply for PR card?

Hello,

I hope you have got visitor visa to stay here in Canada after your work permit expired (you didn't mention about that). Here in this forum, I have seen posts talking about handing over all the work permit papers when they do the landing. Though you don't need work permit to enter into Canada, please have the documents ( work permits) handy in case if the officer ask for it.

My work permit expired last Nov 15, how long i can stay legally here without visitor visa?
I have submitted my passport to Detroit last Nov 16 and praying to received it before end of this month.

I have a new work permit application but it may take time before i get it, im planning to go home by Dec 20 and come back Feb 1 and im still not expecting my work permit to come on this date. The PR visa stamp to my passport would not be enough?
