Hi everyone,

I have 481pts and got an ITA on March 27th

I have all the documents for my PR application except a reference letter for a short term job I did

My main NOC and education is business/ accounting and I have a reference letter for 5yr+ in that field

My problem is I was unable to get a reference letter for a furniture moving job i I did over the summer while still a student, this was only for 3 months and it is adding no points to my EE application.

I originally included (a big mistake) it in my EE application and have included it in my draft PR application so that my work experience is identical in both and does not raise any flags.

This is a big problem for me now as the employer for that job does not want to provide me with a reference letter and my deadline to apply for a PR is tomorrow.

Could someone please help me out and provide me with their opinion as to what would be the best solution here?
- Exclude this experience from my PR application,
- declining my application and trying to get another invitation for my 481Pts and trying to get a reference in the next two months?
- Or something else?

Thank you all for any help here

I am not an expert, but this was not a skilled position and as you said, adds no additional points, so do not submit your application late. Include cover letter to explain you were unable to get a job ref letter for this unskilled position and it has no bearing on your CRS.

Thank you for the answer, Yes I will probably do that, include a cover letter explaining this.

It has no affect on the CRS so it should not affect their final decision but, I understand nobody can predict what CIC decides, hopefully everything goes O.K

My noc is 6235 i think. Wht should i do, pls suggest?

Include a cover letter explaining the technical language. Can you find a definition online that you can reference?

You just need to be factual. If you think the employer will cooperate, then ask them to reword the description. Otherwise, explain in letter to CIC what the technical terms mean in plain language that I would understand.
