Please help!! . Work permit and Visa Expiry..

Hi All ,

I hold a worker Visa and a work permit . Both are going to expire on May 01st 2016. I have initiated the extension of my work permit today.(with the same employer)

I plan to visit India in the 2nd week of April 2016 to attend my dad's 1 year formalities and return back to Canada by April 20th 2016. Will there be any problems in entering Canada again on April 20th?

I am worried about the situation and if someone can help me clarify, it would be of immense help to me.

If you receive your work permit extension AND your visa extension (you need that extended too!) before you are leaving - should not be a problem. If your WP and a visa have expired and you still have not received the extension - you are on the implied status and you can't leave Canada and come back. You will have to wait.

As I mentioned,my existing WP and VISA are going to expire on May 01st 2016. I plan to be back in Canada by April 20th . Will there be any problem?

No problem at all because your documents are still VALID. But just in case the immigration question you, just provide letter from employer and any proof that you applied for extension and still waiting for results...

You should be ok. Jus make sure you have all the documents like offer letter , AOR for ur wp extension , fee reciept for the same , when you return.
