Btw, her son (assume he has enough income) should consider to apply for her super visa. Once in Canada, staying for up to 10 years, who knows if she find a Canadian who enters a relationship with her and willing to be her sponsor for spousal sponsorship.
Think the issue is that she is 50 and would need to work to save for retirement so supervisa is not a great option if she needs/wants to work. Even if she started dating someone in Canada that could be years without the ability to work and earn an income.
