Hello,

My situation:
- 3 different occupations listed on 3 work permits for different periods (ranging from 2010 to 2012)
- codes are 2173, 2283 (Software and Comp Sys Evaluator; not able to find the NOC code for this occupation title in the latest list on HRSDC website) and 2283(Systems Testing Technician)
- employer has refused to provide reference letter to support my pr application

Question 1 - Should all three occupations be mentioned on the form Schedule 8 Economic Classes form and in what order (most recent one first or last)?

Question 2 - I understand that my CEC application needs to be filed under ONE NOC CODE only. If this is correct, where do I mention the code that I wish to apply under? I haven't found any form that asks me this question. Or should I state the NOC code in the explanation letter which would explain why I have not been able to provide the employer reference letter (am planning to choose 2283 as it seems the best fit)

Please help....Thank you very much!

1) Employer reference letter is mandatory doc. If you apply without it, application would be rejected

2) NOC code has to match the job descriptions given in Employer reference letter. Don't worry about the work permit NOC code

Hey dude
Firstly
Godzilla is right, u surely need the employer reference letter. If u r unable to provide it u would need to give an explanation why. So in this case make sure to attach all proof docs u have from the employer for instance the job offer letter etc. This is strong proof to cover for the lack of reference letter and will justify ur explanation.

Secondly
Ur info about mentioning only 1noc code on the schedule 8 form is incorrect. Ur skill can be falling A O or B and u can put more than one noc code depending upon ur job profile and also have multiple skills levels. So u definitely have to mention all 3 job noc codes starting from the most recent one. .on ur form.

Thirdly
If u r unsure about what noc code pertains to ur profile then email the noc departmen i thibk the email is noc-cnp@workingincanada.ca. just confirm this address before sending.
Once u receive a reply from them u can attach their email onto ur application for the processinf officer to see.

Cheers
Winterfox

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I will be mentioning all the NOC codes starting from the most recent one in the Schedule 8 form. But I still have doubt the that where do I mention the code that I wish to apply under? I haven't found any form that asks me this question

Its a 2 page form. I'm unsure what the name is cos I forgot sorry ;D.
But the 2nd page would clearly mention job title job duties, dates, noc code.

There is no designated column or question or place in any form of the PR package under which NOC code you wish to apply for PR. Based on the Canada experuence you show in recent 3 years and the employer reference letter visa officer takes a decision for which NOC code your skills matches.

This is my understanding based on several applicants I spoke with.

May be other Seniors can advise you rightly. Wait n see.

That's not true. There is a specific form that says that. Better check all the forms. I should have attached a link but I am writing on my cell phone.

Hi ujbaby: Thanks. I was referring to the code in digits. I think in generic application to canada, i remember there are 2 questions like what is your current/present role/occupation and what is your intended ?

When you login to computet see if you can post a link or any additional info it will be a great help. Thx.

Sirloin117.
Of course there is a form in which u need to mention ur noc code job title duties and hours per week. Its called schedule 8 economy class form. Its a 2 page form.
U have to. . Mandatorily mention your noc code or else ur application will either come back as rejected or incomplete.

Hey Guys
its Schedule 8: economic class form, there is a table on page 2 where you fill NOC code and working hours with duties and name of employer.

@Winterfox
Schedule 8 Economy class form - I will enter 3 codes 2283(systems testing technician) , 2283(software and comp sys evaluator) and 2173 (embedded systems designer), with most recent one first

All,
I am planning to submit my offer letter to prove my roles and responsibilites while in canada (additional docs like paystubs etc also will be included). Judging on what's given in my offer letter as my duties, i feel 2283 is the most closely matching one.

The question which still remains unanswered is this - form name where i mention that i want to file my pr application under 2283? one of the responses says that it is the Generic Application form.

Could anyone confirm this? Or better still, paste the link to the form in their reply, just so I can be 100% sure

Thank you so much!

Dude .. there is no place where u need to write that u wud be applying for PR under noc code ****.
Its just a generic form.. u will fill it as is...
The noc codes which u r mentioning in schedule 8 form.. r they all eligible under noc level A O and B?

K so in that case as long as u have 1 year or more of skilled work exp.. which u already do....just enter all ur noc codes on the form starting with the most recent one ..
And ur good to go. The officer will make a decision looking at it
