**** PLEASE Help! - Up-to Date Reference Letter

Hi People

I am Jun 2013 applicant . For the work experience reference letter , i have submitted my initial petition Dated Jan 2011 ...which clearly explains my roles/responsilibilities and also the NOC code also it says the contract start data as 14th jan 2011 and end date as Jul 2012. ( 1.5 years). However my employer denied giving me the latest peption which is from Jul 2012 till Jul 2013 saying its against comparny policy. So would it be an issue if i dont provide a latest reference letter date in 2013 that shows my roles/reponsinilities. Below are other documents that i've submitted.
Am just worried if they can deny my case for not providing the latest reference letter with my roles/responsibilites. Any help on this is really appreciated.!!

1. Jan 2011 dated Petition Papers
2. Contract renewals records - update to date till 2013
3. NOA
4. Pay Stubs
5. Salary letter which shows am employes since Jan 2013 ( dated 2013 ).

I think most of the members are confused as to what exactly is a petition you mentioned.

What CIC is expecting is the latest reference letter from your employer identifying duties you performed.

If this petition is something which was sent to you prior to your assignemnt start, it will not be counted against your experience.
This petition was issued on Jan 2011 which is your assignment start month. It is almost certain that your experience will not be counted. Sorry to break this to you.

Once you receive AOR, most critical aspect of CEC class is employment letter and without meeting all the requirements of the letter it is almost guranteed that the application will be rejected.

Thank you for the update.. the petition papers are the one that secured my work permit initially ... its the supporting letter that was prepared by my employer and submitted to CIC explaining my roles/responsibilities. Also those dates fall withing the last 3 year . Assignment start date was from Jan 14th 2011 till Jul 2012 ... which falls within the last 3 years.

Since my employer refuses to provide the latest copy of my petition papers...would it help to get a reference letter from my team manager? Please help

Having watched those who have applied without a ref. letter recently, applying now without one really is risky. If you have not provided an up-to-date ref. letter with the required information on the docs checklist, their is a good chance your application could be rejected.

You should have got a letter from your supervisor before applying. If you can get one, I suggest you do so ASAP and submit it as soon as you receive your AOR.

My employer denies giving such reference letters. All they give us is a salary letter with date of employment. so the only other document that i could provide was the "supporting letter" used for my initial work permit ( which has roles and responsibilities) when submitted to CIC the first time. Would it help if i get it from a project manager ( but not my actual designate supervisor )?

If you can't get one from your HR then letter from your manager seems to be the only option. After all, requirement says a letter from the supervisor.
I am afraid petition papers will not work. It tells what you would be doing going forward whereas CEC is based on the work you already performed.
As jsm0085 suggested, try to get the letter asap and add it to your application.

thank you all ! I will try to get one from my project manager..but the issue is they ask it in a Companys letter pad..with the company address and also... can i make one like that and get the letter from my project manager?

My Manager agreed to provide a reference letter. Please let me know if i should send it to CIC as an email or post mail. Also please let me know the email address too...thank for your help!

The reference letter is ready. Have scanned as a pdf also. But should i wait till i receive my AOR? or can i send it now ? I am expecting the AOR sowewhere 1st week of august? Would it be easy for the immigration folks to add the reference letter to my FILE based on the AOR... Please let me know if i can send it BEFORE or AFTER receiving AOR?
