Please Help - Spousal Open Work Permit

Hi All,
Please help answer if anyone is in same boat.

1. Got my work permit from USA to Canada in October 2019
2. Went to India & got married in November 2019
3. Applied for Wife's OSWP on 20th December 2019 (Up front medical, biometrics, all completed)
4. Pending Decision since then
Have sent many emails to Canada Consulate in New Delhi but unfortunately no answer except for auto-mailer

Pls advise if anyone else is in same boat & if there is any hope of getting it soon.

Have you ordered GCMS notes? In situation like yours, especially for arranged marriages, many of the SOWP are denied until you have spent more time in person together or have longer long distance marriage. The delay may actually work in your favour. Those committing immigration fraud also get married once a potential "spouse" has secured a work or study permit so many in real marriages get denied as well because it is very hard to determine which are real marriages and which are marriages for immigration purposes. You should have received an answer by now. Think you were close to receuving an answer but then covid hit and most of the Canadian staff returned back to Canada. Would also contact your MP so they can follow-up.

After marriage, I spent 3 months in India with my wife before my work called me back in Feb'20. We have been in long distance relationship since feb'19.

I'm here in Canada on a closed work permit....can I still apply for GCMS notes & contact local MP?

I'm starting to lose hope & probably go back sooner if not later

You can contact the local MP. I had a similar situation and contacted the MP and with his help, could wake the delhi office So worry less. I know how hectic it's to stay separated from your better half. But it'll be all cool.
