Hello Everyone,

I am on my PGWP and since August 2012 I am working in the corporate office of a bank. My title is operations officer. However, all I am doing in my role is Accounting and Book-keeping. I need help in choosing right NOC Code for me based on the following duties:

1)Daily reconciliation of Office Accounts, Nostro Accounts and Insured Mortgage Portfolio.
2)Posting jounal entries in *******(Banking software)
3)Daily Trial Balance monitoring and reconciliations.
4)Reconcile and process CRA Payment requests, Bill Payments.
5)Submission of Regulatory reports to FINTRAC(Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada).
6)Calculation of broker commission payments.
7)Compile weekly data for OSFI(The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada)
8)Act as joint custodian for Safe custody of corporate and mortgage loan documents.
9)Prepare monthly irregularity report of mortgage customers for credit department.
10)Co-ordination with credit, Finance, and sales team for resolving queries pertaining to brokerage commission payments.

Please advice if I can apply under NOC Code 1311?

Thanks sunny

But my only concern with 1311 is that my title is Operations officer which doesnt go well with 1311.

you have two options,

one, get your employer or manager’s approval to write a employment letter with financial officer or any title under 1311.

Or you can just apply with Operations officer, they are going to review your qualification based on your duties not title.

You do bank recon, J/E, J/L, Trial Balance and some taxes which is enough for 1311.
