Please help regarding POF

My father gave me equivalent to 15,000 Cad in local currency three years ago. He deposited money in one go in my savings account. Since then that money is untouched in my account. I have not done any transaction in that account. So my last six month bank statement will show nothing. Is it okay for IRCC or will they will ask for explaination? The money was deposited 3 years ago. Will they ask me how that money came in account or they dont care if it is deposited 2-3 years back. Thanks

I dont think that its an issue as long as it is in your name

Yes it is in my name. So if I will provide last six months statement which will show no transaction and will show only total account balance which will be round about 15k cad. It will suffice? Correct me If i am wrong

shouldnt matter since your only showing them 6 months old statement and the balance will be carried forward. just make sure you let your bank write a letter that you bank with them from this year to date and that your account is satisfactory

My bank will issue me a letter that I bank with them and account opening date. But they will not issue me a monthly average letter. So in that case I will submit bank statement. Is it okay?

Thats correct- bank statement and letter. Banks around the world operate differently as for me they did not mention any balance on the letter.
