Dear BuleTruck,.

Thank ever so much.

You are right. I have made my things complicated for myself.

Anyway, We are moving to Canada in December 1st week now.

With Trump winning, i dont know what impact is there if any?

Should I fly to Canada Directly or Driver through US Border?

Flying has an issue with Declaration card where I have to declare my DATE LEFT Date, whereas driving and entering this is avoided??

Thanks

Too soon to tell, but he is still only President Elect. I doubt you will see much change until January, if at all.

The choice is yours. What ever you feel most comfortable with.

Not a lot of difference between putting it on paper on a flight or being asked by the CBSA personnel at a land boarder in person, in my mind. In both cases you will need to answer honestly. Having crossed into Canada many times by both land and air, it isn't uncommon for them to ask how long you have been away during either type of entry, although it seems more prevalent at the land border. Probably due to the fact you don't have to fill in a declaration card. Both options carry the same risk on arrival.
