Hi all, I just submitted my interest into the pool. I took 4 years of Bachelor of Commerce in a university in Canada, following a 3-month accounting diploma program from the same university (only available for post- graduates). When I did the questionnaire to determine my eligibility, I chose (Two or more degrees/diplomas with one at least 3 years). But when I actually filled in my information for education, when it comes to my 3-month diploma program, I'm not sure what to put for the length of education in years (I can't possibly put 0.25 in there so I put one) and Level of Education (See 1-7 below), I wasn't sure which one so I put 1-year program. What should I do?

(Options as given in EE application:
1 None, or less than secondary
2.Secondary diploma (high school graduation)
3.1-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school or other institutes
4.2-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school or other institutes
5. Bachelor's degree OR a 3 or more year program at a uinversity college, trade or technical school or other institutes
6. Master's degree or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession
7.Doctoral level university degree (PhD)

You have answered your question already! As you can see there is no option to select any program below one year, that means you cannot claim points for your 3 months diploma. You have wrongly selected one year for your 3 months diploma. You will only get points for your bachelors degree. To get "two or more degree" points you need minimum 1 year long program along with a minimum 3 years long certificate, diploma or degree.

Hi ishq74, thank you so much for your reply! I was searching everywhere on the web for this! Could you clarify where I can find the minimum 1 year long program in the criteria? All I could find was a minimum 3 year program for one of the two degrees/diplomas. Three of my friends from school did the same thing, and they got the PR just fine. But I don't want to take any risks in here. Do you think I should assume since people have passed through with this, it's actually ok?

Sorry but I don't understand, you have attended a course of Three Months then in what sense you think it is "One year diploma"? Isn't it common sense that you have to study "One Year" to get a certificate of One Year? 'two or more degree points' are for combination of two credentials available in the list you have mentioned except secondary (no points for this), masters and phd (this is already greater than two degree) one of them must be 3 or more years long. I don't know how your friends got visa and you have full right to do anything with your application. During the assessment a Case Analyst/Agent will recalculate and validate your educational credentials and award you appropriate CRS score. If this recalculated CRS score fall below the cut off score of your invitation round then your application will be rejected. Here your friends might have just cleared the cut off without this second diploma. anyway Its up to you what to do with your application.
