Hi everyone... Canadian Embassy Manila called me this afternoon... Asking me if i can land canada before september 14,2010 since my medical will expire on that date. of course I answered yes i can land if i have a visa. The VO asked me to book a flight and send the booking certificate through fax or email. I booked a flight and only september 7 is available. I will send the booking certificate tomorrow. Now my question is, do you guys think they are able to send my visa as soon as possible before september 7???? I am from cebu.... please need your opinion...............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@faithingod,ofcourse they can! its your decision actually.if you want to redo your med you have to
wait again maybe weeks or months.ang swerte mo po.ikaw na ang tinanong its your choice tlga.

thank you so much for the response..... i just opened pc back. By the way, my flight changes from september 7 to september 6. coz its cheaper. I fax my itinerary yet. Do you guys think that my visa is ready now and they would send it right away once they got the fax i sent? My ecas still in process... Please do you guys think my visa will arrive before september 6? have you guys heard the same situation like mine? oh my God i'm very worried now.... do you think its good to go to the embassy in person and pick up my visa? please help me what is the best way to do now....
By the way, here is my timeline

November 2009- applied sponsorship
December 28'09 - appvd sponsorship/aor recvd
Jan 2010- started processing in manila
feb 2010-request pp, birth, marriage cert and residences address
feb 9'10-sent all requested docs to embassy
March 2010-rprf request and paid right away
April to May no news...............
June 15'10-VO called and asked for NBI clearance and sent on the same day
July no news...
August 27,2010 @ 12noon- VO called and asked if i can land canada before medical expire. Medical expires september 14,2010. Of course i said yes and she asked me to send booking certificate through fax or email.
Now waiting my visa...... flight september 6,2010

If you are able to go to the embassy with your passport to get your visa, that is the best way. That way you wouldn't have to worry about mail or courier delays. Check, though, to see if you can do this at Manila, and what hours or days they can do it.

I know that Buffalo, NY in the U.S. can do it in person same-day, but only if you arrive during certain hours in the morning. If you come in the afternoon, they won't see you at all.

You need to contact them and find out if it is possible to pick up your visa in person. I would contact them as soon as possible if I were you.

Finally got my visa... went to canadian embassy last september 2,2010 picked up my visa in person..
