Dear Altruist,

Yesterday I submitted my Express entry profile for FSWP. My profile stands as follows:

  • Age, 28 = 110
  • Level of education, BSC in Chemical Engineering = 120
  • Official Languages, IELTS GT L-9, R-8, S-7, W-7 = 130
  • Official Language proficiency and education = 25
  • Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience, 3 years = 50
  • Sibling in Canada = 15
Total= 450

I checked my profile thoroughly and was sure that I entered everything correctly. After the submission of my profile they sent me a message saying that I am not eligible to apply!! What could be the possible reason behind it? Have anyone else faced a similar problem? What should I do now? Please Help!

I was in a confusion about two matters though:

First- My Education NOC is 2134-Chemical Engineer but my Job NOC is 9232- Gasplant Operation specialist.

Another- I did my Educational Credential assessed for BSc in Chemical Engineering from WES. But did not assess the Secondary Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). I don't think WES assess those certificates. Could that be a problem?

1 - What is your score under the six selection factors of the FSW program? Do note I am not asking about your CRS.
2 - Do you have a year of continuous work experience in your Primary NOC?
3 - Do you meet the required funds?
4 - Post a breakdown of your calculation under the six selection factors.

Also, your secondary education is irrelevant.

Dear DelPiero07,

Thanks for your reply.
My six selection factors of the FSW program are as follows:

1. Language, CLB-9- 24
2. Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal (BSc in Chemical Engineering)-21
3. Work Experience 3 years- 11
4. Age, 28- 12
5. Adaptability, Relatives in Canada- 5
Total: 73

I have been working in a Gasplant as the Central Operation Specialist (NOC-9232) for 3+ continuous years but my primary NOC is Chemical Engineer (NOC-2134)

I meet the required funds

Could that my Work NOC is different from the primary NOC be the problem?

Can I apply again for Express Entry?

Thanks in Advance :)

If you chose 2134 as your primary NOC and you do not have a year of continuous work experience in such NOC then that is the reason for your ineligibility.

You are free to create a new profile.
