Please help me with PR application submission timing dilemma

Hey guys,

I have a dilemma in regards to the appropriate moment for submitting my Express Entry PR application.

The thing is that I'll be landing in Canada on February 16th (and apply for a work permit at POE) and I'm starting to work for my employer on March 1st. My deadline for submitting the PR application is March 17th and now I'm not sure whether I should submit before landing in Canada or after. Also, should I submit before or after starting to work for my employer.

Obviously, the situation will change in a couple of factors: new address, new phone number, work history (new job started, previous one ended). BTW, I read on this forum that it shouldn't be a problem to notify IRCC of the situation change after the application was submitted.

What would you suggest and why?

The short answer is it doesn't matter.

Reasons for submitting now: you will become a PR sooner because your processing starts earlier.

Reason for submitting later: you won't have to notify CIC of your new address (which is easily done via their website enquiry form).

If you have everything ready to go, I'd personally submit it now and notify them later.

I agree - I'll do like you suggested, since getting PR as soon as possible is the ultimate goal after all.
