So you already have the visa on hand? But you intentionally did not mention it or provide you in your application? Wow..

Not sure how this will affect your application but looks to me like it's a big deal to have left it out. It's also hard to tell if sending it now via webform will help or hurt your case.
Intentionally? I didn't know I'd have to mention it. Nowhere was it asked..
My agent said it's not a big deal if we raise a webform asap before they start processing my application further.

You honestly didn't think it was necessary to mention that you are currently studying at an Australian institution, have a study permit for this but currently stuck in your home country? Okay.

Go ahead and follow the advice of your Agent then. That's what you are paying them for.

Obviously now I think about it, I feel it's required. My main question is, is approaching this with a LOE via a Webform the correct route?

Any suggestions on what I should mention in the LOE?

having al LOE is essential in every application even while applying via agent. it helps the VO addressing concerns. always take in mind VO will not assume
they will evaluate what they see. having a an AUS visa is a positive factor. it means u got accepted by another top country that is part of M5 that includes Canada. but not mentioning that and its explanation in LOE might rise some concerns for the officer. tbh i am not sure if at this point it will hurt mentioning thart in webform or not. but honesty is good thing. it was mentioned that we should upload any used pages with passport copy. i would suggest to prepare LOE just in case in rejection or rising webform. as long as you are honest and you show your true intentions. you are good to go

but i think webform ther eis to update cpontact info or make inquires. adding documents to already sumbitted application might delay your application

Agent said LOE is not needed. I attached a SOP. I guess since I have this, I should've attached a LOE. I'll be making a LOE today and uploading it in a day or two addressing that I have a study permit of Australia. I'm not trying to hide anything. What would you do in my situation? I'm afraid this will bring me a refusal..

usually the SOP is the same as letter of explanation. in letter of explanation you explain your purpose and other things. so it is the same document. at least in my eyes

Studied less than one semester online. I'm surprised too. Do you think it'll be a problem now if I upload it though webforms? What would you do in my situation? I don't see a problem? Not like im hiding a rejection or anything?
Hey don't panic. Breathe. It's okay. Just raise a webform and say. "I also want to mention that I hold an Australian study visa however I wish to study in Canada because blah blah blah . I am also attaching the approved Australian visa for your reference."
This will only improve your chance and strengthen your case.
All the best.
Don't worry

You should include your travel history by photocopying all visas on your passport or excel format and submit along with your application. If not, i would expect that to be in your Study Plan. Bottom line AU is member of 5eyes, they share immigration records with Canada, UK, US and NZ so VO will know that. On spirit of being honest, you can send webpage to include your travelling history and your student status granted by AU Immi

Do I need to explain why I switched? How can I explain myself why I'm switching from a Masters to a PG Diploma?
My reason is, Australian borders seem to be indefinitely closed, paid for face to face learning and can't continue to keep paying such fees for studying online.

To VO, and in your situation mode of delivery cannot be enough reasons to switch countries especially during pandemic, plus switch from Masters degree to PGD and can mean you are looking more than that “more than the knowledge”.

I dont know what implication on AU side when you apply in Canada and get rejection, and when AU opens border and Border patrol see recent refusal from Canada when you decide to go to AU at POE....

There's more than that. I'll add in more reasons;
1. No networking
2. No hands on experience.
3. Not feasible to pay fees in such amounts from home country.
4. There's a time difference, attending online classes when there's a time difference isn't feasible.
5. Internet speeds where I'm from aren't bearable. You should try attending a class where you keep disconnecting every 5 minutes.
6. IT is a technical field, not a theoretical one where you can just attend a lecture or watch stuff from a screen and completely learn.

We are not debating about this, you can go ahead and apply... i just pointed out my observation which you can work on or not, but final decision is yours..

When the pandemic hit a year ago, we were three weeks short of finishing our last semester. School shifted to online learning full time. Each lecture were recorded, so even if you miss it, you still have the chance to watch it again. But then, even before the pandemic, lots of international students were not actually attending classes, they will only attend if there was an in-class assignment. Quite a number of them even getting perfect or near perfect score, even when not attending classes. I’m not going to elaborate into details how they did it, but ironically they survived their program almost “virtually”.

In today’s virtualized world, almost everything is in the cloud. Network training can be done with Cisco Packet Tracer. NaaS, SaaS, etc. Most companies are taking advantage of the cloud. OS on VMWare. Installation and configuration are the same as on the physical computer. Is virtualization theoretical then?
