Please help me URGENT Help needed!!

Hi friends !!

I am in very unfortunate condition.

SINP implemented a new amendment in May 2012, that every employer has to register them self with SINP whos employees are to apply SINP. My employer has also applied for it. And now they have got the job approval for myself along with others.

Unfortunately, I got my work permit expired before SINP issued that certificate. I did try to apply online but CIC didnt allow me.

On the other hand, My employer is asking me to restore my status before they issue that job approval. While I can restore my status only If I have LMO or SINP. As I have no time to go for LMO now, I need to go for SINP, But in order to process SINP, I neede to submit that Job Approval it self!!

My employer is also asking me that they will terminate my service at any moment as they cant keep me on roll, and that situation would put me in other major trouble as I would get my applied SINP application cancelled and so on. Please suggest me if you have ever heard about this kindda situation or you have any idea how to go ahead.

I am just a victim of a procedural delay and loop in the law. I did all try to save my status in every manner I could.

I would be glad if somebody can help me ..........................

You should have applied for extension of your work permit(without a LMO) before the old permit expired. This way, you would have implied status and buy some time.

You have 90 days to restore your status...tell your employer that you can restore your status and get a new work permit, but you need the job approval/SINP to proceed and see what they say. Goodluck.

Thank you very much for your quick response, Looking forward to the next stage, As you have suggested that I should tell my employer that I can still restore my status, I have already tried to explain this to him and he said, As my Current status is lost, he cant further help me out, He needs me to prove my status first in order to let him issue me that Job Approval letter to me. Initially my employer was not willing even for the registration, now it is not helping me out, they wont think of going for LMO. Even after they go for LMO, as my job does not fall under high skilled standards, LMO will not be approved. As far as looking for another employer for LMO is concerned, I am not sure if they can file LMO for myself as I have already lost my status, further I am still not sure how much time LMO process would take. I need at least 37-40 days to process the workepermit(+ 5-6 days of work permit receipt once it is issued) and apart from that I need time for application+processing for LMO. while I have onle 75-78 days left with me now...

Contact the CIC call center and explain your situation. They should be able to help you...ask them to forward the information to your email. This way you can print it out for your employer.

The other thing you can do is search the cic website for information relating to your case e.g. about restoration of status, etc and give this to your employer. Sometimes employers are reluctant because they do not know the rules/laws very well.

Thank you for your favor, but there is said in the hyper link you have suggested, that I should have applied BEFORE the expiration of my work permit and that if I suggest this to my employer, he would definitely ask me to have applied before that and they cant help me any more. while I can surely go ahead with CIC call center. I have already applied for extension of my work permit and restoration of my status yesterday(friday) I am pretty sure that CIC will refuse it on the ground that I should have LMO or PNP in order to process my case for extension of my work permit. I have explained entire situation to them as well as the reason why I was unable to apply for extension before the time. Hopefully I `ll get some favorable reply from their side. I applied with CIC just because of the reason that my employer suggested me to do so and that if i do so they would issue that Job approval certificate to me but Unfortunately the immigration officer at the SINP office, while on the conversation over the phone, disclose that even if I apply for extension, I would not get it, to my employer and now my employer is reluctant to give that job approval letter to me. ...

Speak to your MP (Member of Paliarment) or MLA - they should be able to help you with this. Take a copy of your work permit and restoration applications you just sent to CIC.

Clearly, you got caught up by the red tape and are in some kind of loop, where you need A to get B but to get B, you need A. It really is hard, but hang in there and don't give up.

Now that you've applied for restoration, if you were to get a new employer willing to do the SINP or LMO, I think you should be able to use it to renew your work permit.

But I could not conclude who represent my constituency. I live in Glencairn. I have found representatives for Regina—Qu'Appelle, Regina—Lumsden—Lake Centre and Wascana, But unsure about which of one I should go for can you suggest me something here pleaseeeee??

i would like to ask if its still ok not to renew my passport this time (valid til february)while waiting for PPR.my ecas showed in process july 17.usually, how long will it take for the validity of visa?

Personally, I would renew the passport now, as Febraury is just about 6 months away and to travel a passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months. You never know how long processing will take.
