It pproved while being out of canada! I dont know what to do now, i dont have. Visitors visa! Should i apply for visitors visa ? What should i state? Should i mention i have a open work pemit and i need to go back to reunite with wife? Or just say i want to visit, i am so confused i never thought they would process it.

To clarify - You applied inland, left Canada, and then were approved?

Your work permit got approved? In order to enter Canada again, you will need a valid visitor visa, as the work permit itself is not a travel document.

For future reference, there's no need to leave in this situation as you can apply to extend your visitor status. In the case of status expiry, you can also apply for status restoration within 90 days of it expiring.

Also, how long have you been out of Canada? With an inland application, you shouldn't leave Canada for more than a few weeks or you risk your application being considered abandoned and cancelled.

That's my concern, could be in a bit of bother if it's an extended stay outside Canada.

Yeah, wish people would come here before they do rash moves like leaving. Especially since you ultimately don't even need legal status to complete the PR processing, but leaving can cancel the whole thing (plus OP is not visa exempt so they need a visa to get back or try again through the inland route).

Not sure how long it takes to get a visitor visa, but it definitely may ultimately be too long of an absence from Canada.

Well, would the best option for him now will be to say he had to go home for whatever the reason is , apply for a new visitor visa while showing his work permit? If he cant get a visitor visa the only option will be to cancel his app and apply outland, and wait the whole time outside of Canada...

And yes he should have checked it before make a rush decisions but too late now. Try to get the visa and take it from there

Thank u all , i was wishing since it got approved it was easier trying to get back as opposite of trying to get back when is still processing, i have been out of canada 3 months and just got the approval 3 days ago :(

That's a big problem. Being outside of Canada for 3 months will invalidate your inland application ifp or when they find out. The requirement of the inland app is that both sponsor and applicant must be inside Canada.

I fee so stupid i never thought it would get approved, the worst part is that my wife is seeing someone else and will not agree to re do the aplication even outland, i will still give it a try with the visitors visa , do i need a letter from her or can i get one from my mother in law , shes a very nice lady and would probabbly help me, one last question is there realle 0 chance of re enetering canada with a visitors visa ? Should i send an explanatory letter saying what haooened with the visa application? Should i send them the owp? Thanks im devastated

If your wife is no longer in a relationship with you, you may well have even bigger problems, as you will both have to be present at the "landing" interview. There is an element of immigration fraud appearing here....

You've been outside Canada for 3 months and it sounds like your partner has left you. You should withdraw the spousal app, you do not qualify for inland spousal sponsorship.

Absolutely. If the relationship has dissolved, continuing with the application (if you can get past the absence from Canada) would be committing marriage fraud.

This is just my thought, a senior member would need to confirm, but if you apply for a visit visa, they will see that you have an inland application is progress. My thought is that they will terminate your sponsorship application on the spot, and most likely deny the visit visa. Again, this is just my thought, I'm not speaking from experience
