Please help me - confusion about work experience

I am S.Mahap

I working in Saskatchewan on my pgwp as a cook.
I been working till date total 48 weeks and 2000 hours, with 10 months gap.
I have my T4 and all pay stub and my employer ready to give ref. letter.
I am planning to apply under CEC, my confusion is:


Right now I am working part time only 15 hours per week so,
How many more hours, weeks or months do I need work more to become eligible as potential applicant for CEC?

After applying for CEC is it compulsory to work as a cook or I can change my job?

CIC count the day..it mean you must completely one year.Not only hours

You need 52 weeks of full time work.
If you have done 48 weeks of full time (30 hours) and from now on you're doing 15, you need to do double the amount of time (so 8 weeks) to make up the full time equivalent hours.

You can change job any time - if you are including on your application, they need to be noc 0, a or B though

yes sir I did not wirk for that much time but I m working right now...

As long as you have worked 1560 hours (as a full time employee = 30 hours/week) and 365 calender days with in last 3 years, you are eligible to apply under cec.
You are good hours wise, but you need to work 8 more weeks because 15 hours is not full time, so you need to work equivalent part time(double the days).

This is what CIC CEC website says:-

plan to live outside the province of Quebec
have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,
have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization
meet the required language levels needed for your job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).

If you work 29 hours per week it does not count at all.

Part time hours do indeed count. It's just that you accrue the necessary experience more slowly (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op25a-eng.pdf section 6.3. Full-time work)

To calculate your work experience:
- take all your skilled (NOC 0, A, B) work in Canada
- add up the hours, without counting more than 30 hours a week (see the above link), worked during the past three years
- if it's more than 1560 hours (52 weeks x 30 hours) you're set (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=718&t=6).
