Hi all,

I sent out my application for Canadian citizenship a few days ago. But I just noticed that I forgot to include the cover letter in the envelope because my desk is so messy that the cover letter was misplaced with garbage paper. Could you please tell me if you included a cover letter when you sent your application? Will CIC consider my application incomplete without it? Thanks a lot.

P.S. since I came to Canada, I was told by people that it is polite to include a cover letter when you send resume or any kind of application.

When I sent my application for citizenship few months ago, I did not write any cover letters and everything is going as it should. I just filled the required application forms. I did not include any cover letters for any of my immigration applications and I am PR since May 2007. It may be good to send a cover letter when you are applying for a job etc but I don't think it is the case for the CIC.
