Please help me (About Police Clearance Certificate)

Hi guys!

I am going to apply CEC very soon. I have a question about Police Clearance Certificate.

I am Korean. I was in India from 2007 Sep 10 to 2008 Mar 5. Little less than full 6 months.

Do i need still to get Police Clearance Certificate from Indian Embassy?

Hi

Officially the answer is no, PCC is required when you have lived in a country for more than 6 months. However depending on how close you come to the 6 months may drive CIC to ask for the PCC regardless of the policy. My advise would be to obtain one to avoid any delays but this is your choice.

Note you do NOT need the PCC to submit your application, so do not delay the application awaiting PCC's. Send it it then apply for any PCC's needed, these can be submitted later.

You are not required to send PCC with your application so don't waste your time waiting for PCC (starting from Jan, 1st Express Entry starts and it is not clear yet how it will affect CEC). Send your application as fast as possible and you can obtain and send PCC later. Or you can wait for PCC request from CIC - they will ask you if they need it.

Officially you don't need it even if you are less than 1 day , If CIC request then you may have to provide.
