Sorry i am new to the CANADA PR Process. If this has been posted and discussed many times before, my apologies, please redirect me to a useful link or post. Again my sincere apologies..
Currently i am in India and applied for my WP back in May 2013 and finally got my WP approved this week.

Little background information about myself:
I am ctitizen of India
I completed my Bachelors degree in Computer science engineering in 2004.
I have been working in a MNC (Corporate firm) for almost 9 years now.

Last 5 years i have been in US (My company sent to US to work at my clients location), due to VISA challenges i have to return back to India, still continuing in the same company.

My company applied for my CANADA WP as soon as I returned back to India and i got my WP on Sep 12,2013
Currently my designation is Project Manager. I am also a certified Project management professional (PMP)
I will be travelling to CANADA as a intra company transfer and applied for CANADA WP under the Job category: 2174 Computer Programmer and Interactive Media Dev.

I am planning to initiate my CANADA PR process.

Could someone please share some details and information about CANADA PR process.

Can i initiate my PR process from India before travelling to CANADA?

Hi hemanth,

Under what category you want to apply for PR... you can go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-int.asp and decide on this first.

If you are looking to apply for PR under CEC, then first and for most requirement is 1 year job experience in Canada.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks

For now, complete the 'Come to Canada' wizard and see if you're eligible at all:

There's a lot of different immigration streams and the wizard helps you to identify under which
stream you might be eligible to apply for PR.
Like Tutu already pointed out, one of the criteria of the Candadian Experience Class is 12 months or full-time
skilled work experience IN Canada. Experience gained outside Canada can't be counted towards CEC experience.
Your occupation 2174 is an eligible occupation and after working in Canada for 12 months it would make you, if you
meet all the other requirements as well, eligible under CEC class.

Also check FSW class:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

Here's the link to CEC class:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/index.asp

Start with the Come to Canada wiz and see where you get from there.
