Hi,
I have already received my IEC working holiday work permit and am going to activate and use it in few weeks.
I also have a job offer in Alberta, for which I am going to use my IEC work permit.

I am already in Alberta, working in a different job on a temporary work permit. My current work contract is till end of March.

My new employer (the one job I will start in few weeks using IEC), will provide me with "group benefits" (health and dental) after 3 months working with them.
According to my job offer, I will also get "life, accidental death and dismemberment, dependent life, short term disability, and long term disability insurance" by paying a low amount per months. There will be also "Health Spending Account" and "Employee Assistance Plan" with my new job.

My question is, DO I HAVE TO buy an extra health insurance before I start the new job?
I already have Alberta health care and Blue Cross from my current employer.

If I have to do so, what insurance company would you guys recommend? I am already in Canada.
How much such a health insurance normally costs?

Thanks.

1. Yes, as the policy must include repatriation.
2. Google IEC insurance, there are number of companies that give quotes on line.
