If you are eligible for Express Entry and government entity is eligible and registered as a business. They have to show the recruitment process and that they couldn't hire anyone Canadian/PR or any Albertan etc. The government entity NAICS code must be on the list too.

Last tech draw was 22 people and there are almost 3000 profiles in the tech pool.
Through Express Entry only but not Alberta PNP-EE. You don't have a job offer because your employer is not eligible. With PNPs cut, even Alberta is very focused on who it nominates. Check the draws to see as focus is in AOS and there are 30k in that pool for just a few thousand spots.Thank you for the information.
I don’t know if the government entity is a business; I don’t think it is.
Also, the NAICS code does not apply because the entity is a public service.
I am not eligible for AOS either.
It seems that even working full time, paying taxes, and having a job offer does not give any chance for PR.
So you need to max IELTS if you haven't done already. How much longer on your work permit? Do you have foreign experience?EE points are not that high. The cut-off is definitely above 500, but mine is 460.
You need to focus on Express Entry if not eligible for AOS or tech pathway. Not sure your EOI score would be high enough without Alberta education. AOS are for those on LMIA or who studied in the province.I have more than 15 years of experience. I worked as a manager for big tech companies with about 5 million in yearly revenue. I did my best, but age is working against me. Also, there are other AOS rules (SOWP). It is what it is.

Learn French to a CLB7 level to qualify for the French category draw.

There really is no LMIA PR support anymore. Employers didn't have to pay anything and could apply for PR support LMIA for their employee to give them the 50 points. What NOC do you have a LMIA in? Maybe eligible for AOS depending on EOI score and if NOC is selected. Now, does getting a LMIA job offer make any difference?
Is a LMIA for PR support different from a regular LMIA?

A LMIA is of no benefit anymore for your EE profile. It just allows you to apply for a closed work permit. Since your employer will restart the hiring/recruitment process and pay the $1k fee then if approved for LMIA and then your closed work permit, you may be eligible for AOS.- I'm not eligible for AOS because I'm on a SOWP.

So, if my employer applies for LMIA to help me get PR, does that really exist? Can I apply directly for PR, or what is the process?
