Hi,

Currently, I have a PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) which expires Aug 2013. When its time for an extension can I apply for a regular open work permit for foreign workers without my employer submitting a LMO?

Also, My husband is a full-time student completing his BSc. As his spouse will I be able to make the transition from a PGWP to an Open Work Permit without a LMO?

I don't think you can extend your PGWP... You would need to apply for a regular work permit (which I believe might need you to get sponsored)... On the other hand, with your husband being a full time student, you should be able to get an open work permit valid up to the same date as his student permit
