Hi Guys,

What can be a very suitable reason to give the Federal if I do not want to travel now with my family. I want to apply for me alone but my wife and three kids will follow later.

What can really be a suitable and convincing reason to give to them why they will be travelling later and not now with me. Honestly I do not have the means now to pay for the flight for all 5 people , medicals, and applications fees because I went bankrupt with my business. But I cannot tell federal that.

Please can some one be of help.

Thanks

How about finishing school?
Either way you have to fill their info in the application and they must do the medicals tests. There is no way arround it if you want to sponsor them inthe future.

Hello Maboy,

I don't have the answer to your question, but I just wanted to lay out the two options for you, so that you'd have all the facts before deciding.

If you put them as non-accompanying:
- The entire family will have to do the Medical exam (as Taxed mentioned) and submit police certificates.
- You pay visa and RPRF fees only for yourself
- The process takes about a year, after which only you can land and become PR
- When you sponsor them later, that's when you will have to pay their visa and RRPF fees, and they may have to redo the medical exam (if it's been more than one year since the last time they did it). The process takes about a year.

If you put them as accompanying:
- The entire family will have to do the Medical exam and submit police certificates
- You pay visa fees for the adults and the children, and RPRF fees for the adults only.
- You can land together as a family, or you can land first and they follow later (but they will have to land before the expiry date of the visa, which is typically one year from the date of the medical exam).

Finally, I suppose a third option would be to hold off on applying for the PR altogether, if you're expecting your financial situation to improve if you stay where you are for a little longer.

Best of luck to you

Hi

I cant thank you enough for all these very useful informtion. I will do a comperative analysis and know where I stand. I can push for the visas to be out and they travel maybe in 8 months time as the visa expires in maybe one year from date of medicals .

Will you recommend that?

Thanks again
