Hi Friend,

Let put this on different way...

CIC is comparing 1 year or minimum work hours as 1560 hrs/year.

How I come to this number ????? see the calculation below

minimum work hours lined by CIC (30hrs/week) * 1 year(52 weeks) = 1560...
in your case you are working 40hrs/week, so...
40hrs/week * (11*52/12) = 1906 annually.

In short you are on safe zone... So don't worry and enjoy the wait time..... ;) :D :D :D :D :D

Wrong! CIC does not recognize working hours more than 30hours/week. In other word, you cannot compensate weeks worked less than 30hours with other weeks that exceed 30hours.

BTW , I think you will be OK since you got paid for the period.

thnks friend for the quick reply !!!

also , i got paid for the time i am on vacation ! maybe my employer liked my work and paid ....lol ie for month of may 2014 ... so is dat a concern for VO ???

pls reply

If you are salaried, it is much much easier. It sounds like you applied after 13 months, and paid vacation is still employed. It's unclear how CIC will tread vacation beyond 2 weeks (2 weeks of vacation is clearly accepted in the most recent guidelines), so at worst, CIC will disallow 2-3 weeks. But since you worked an extra month before applying, you should be OK.

You didn't give exact dates, tho, so it's difficult to be more reassuring.
