I have received ITA last Friday and I am arranging a medical exam. However, I am confused when I read the official website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ms/requirements-permanent-residents.html#when

Before you submit your application

If you’re applying under the Express Entry Program, you have the option of getting an exam before you apply. This is called an upfront medical exam. To get one, contact a panel physician directly.

You can’t get an upfront medical exam if you’re being sponsored as a spouse, partner or child. Wait for our instructions before going for your medical exam.
After you submit your application
We’ll send you instructions on how to get your medical exam done. You must go for your medical exam within 30 days of receiving these instructions.

If you make a refugee claim at a port of entry, a Border Services Officer will tell you to get a medical exam within 30 days.

If you don’t follow these instructions, we may refuse your application.

What is the meaning of "submit your application" here? Does it mean submitting all the required documents?

I am the main applicant and only myself needs to do medical exam. I am considering to arrange for a medical exam now. I would like to ask:

1. In general, how long does it take to release the medical exam result?
2. How long does it take for the result to be sent to IRCC from the panel physician?

Congrats on receiving an ITA. You don’t need to bother yourself about when the medical results would be available. After the exam, you’ll be giving a slip with your image, that’s the document you upload online when you submit your application. IRCC would have access to the results once the hospital/clinic uploads your result. IRCC typically accesses your medicals 1 or 2 months after you submit. This is not a set rule but typically, that’s the time frame.

You need to submit the application after all the required and additional documents.

All the best.
