Supplementary Travel:

List all trips you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. If you or your family member did not travel outside of your country during this period, check "did not travel".

So include everything but your home country and Canada.

Personal History IMM5669:

Include EVERYTHING. That means in Canada and your home country as well.
+1 for very clear instructions...

So the answer is:

Your travels:

all travels outside your county of origin or country of resident means:
If you are in your home country list all trips you have taken outside you country, if your country of residence is other than your home country list all trips you have taken outside that country, even to your home country

"Personal History"
As I was advised by an immigration lawyer (not consultant but lawyer) for example if you were unemployed for some time but during that time you were travelling you have to list that travel as your personal history. (give all information they need)
If you have taken regular vacation at your job or bussines travells (outside your country) you have to list all those travels in YOUR TRAVEL form only

that's what I did and what other people I talked did, (those who received their PR already). ;

Not sure why you needed the immigration lawyer for something that is clearly detailed in the application, but they have to earn their extortionate fees somehow ;-)

Because this is such a struggle for some people, here are a couple of extracts from the overflow form that were part of my application:

IMM5669 - Personal History - http://i.imgur.com/PAcqLSX.png
IMM5562 - Supplementary History - http://i.imgur.com/5OaQ9xw.png

The light blue rows in IMM5562 are periods when I was either in my home country or Canada. This information is not required on IMM5562, but I chose to include them as understanding my complicated travel history was easier with them, than without.

I didn't pay any money to the lawyer. He was my boss's friend which check our application before sending to Sidney absolutely for free. I asked him few questions about concerns I had as on the forum you can find hundreds of different answers to one question. I filled my application the way I thought was right and he confirmed everything.

My previous answer to the question was only to clarify some info

Personally, I found your clarification a little unclear in comparison to my previous post. Regarding indicating what you were doing during each period, it very clearly states under Personal History of IMM5669:

Under "Activity", write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc).

I thought my summary was decent:

Supplementary Travel:

List all trips you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. If you or your family member did not travel outside of your country during this period, check "did not travel".

So include everything but your home country and Canada.

Personal History IMM5669:

Include EVERYTHING. That means in Canada and your home country as well.

I chose to submit my information in full, because it makes sense to do so if you can.

However, there are plenty of people who do not include their full travel history (I'm talking about both IMM5669 and IMM5562), because not everyone is able to recount their full travel history (an applicant could simply be a little lazy as well). For example, as you mentioned with repeated business trips to the US from Canada. Or for Europeans who have travelled a little in their home continent (no passport stamps). Or just because a weekend spent in Nice 9.5 years ago simply wasn't that memorable.

I think it's best to include as much as possible. However, at the end of the day, I would guess there is very little chance that the CIC is going to be able to verify (at least) the majority of the travel information. I also think that the CIC are very aware that this section isn't always 100% accurate.

I would suspect rejection based upon the information given/not given on these forms is quite rare But other people's input would be interesting.

Hi Everyone,

My application for CEC Category is almost ready and I'll be sending it to CIC soon. Just wanted to clarify some questions I have before I send it out :
1. Question no 4 on the generic form is "immigration office requested for processing this application" on cic website it says if you are applying from within Canada, leave it blank! Now I have seen people on this forum saying that they'd put Ottawa! Whats the correct answer?
2. Do I have to write NOT APPLICABLE even on the fields that are grayed out?
3. Does anyone has a template for covering letter? Who do I address it to? Where exactly should we put this letter, i mean after/before which form?
4. For the TO & FROM dates for my current job and my present address, Ive white out the FROM date and wrote PRESENT on there, is it fine to do that, or shall I just put expiry date of my work permit?

Your replies are much appreciated. Thanks to everyone who helped! Good luck! 8)

Website supercedes instructions given in this forum. Though it wouldn't matter if you wrote 'CPC Ottawa'. I suspect they've recently started telling people to leave it blank because too many people entered something other than 'CPC Ottawa' (e.g. CPC Sydney, NS). Leave it blank, you have no reason to be concerned on this one.

2. Do I have to write NOT APPLICABLE even on the fields that are grayed out?
Nope, only on ones where you're told to. It almost certainly wouldn't matter though.

3. Does anyone has a template for covering letter? Who do I address it to? Where exactly should we put this letter, i mean after/before which form?
You don't need a covering letter / letter of explanation. Some people use one to detail particular sections of an application (I needed to), but if your application is straight forward, then it really isn't need. Address to 'To Whom It May Concern', or 'Dear Sir/Madam'. Mine went at the front of the package, as it's a covering letter.

4. For the TO & FROM dates for my current job and my present address, Ive white out the FROM date and wrote PRESENT on there, is it fine to do that, or shall I just put expiry date of my work permit?
It won't matter too much. I dated things 'to' the date of my application, e.g. the date of my signature on the forms matched the 'to' date.

Your replies are much appreciated. Thanks to everyone who helped! Good luck! 8)
Best of luck with the application :)

Question #1. CEC Gives instruction in the guide:

Specific instructions for Canadian Experience Class

Specific instructions to fill the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)

Follow the general instructions below as well as these specific instructions to fill the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008):

Question 1: select “Economic” as the Program under which you are applying;
Question 2: select “Canadian experience class” as the Category;
Question 4: indicate "Case Processing Centre – Ottawa" as the immigration office requested for the processing of your application.
Note: You cannot apply under the Canadian Experience Class if you intend to reside in Quebec.

2007-12 to 2007-12 Vacation-Travelling Visitor-Visa Waiver Taipei,Taiwan
2007-12 to 2007-12 Vacation-Return Home Citizen Singapore

OR should I do

2007-09 to 2007-12 Studying Study Permit Toronto, Canada University of Toronto
2007-12 to 2008-01 Vacation-Return Home Citizen Singapore
2007-12 to 2007-12 Vacation-Travelling Visitor-Visa Waiver Taipei,Taiwan

Can I just have a broad category of what I am doing and I bold it on my spreadsheet and I will fill in all the travels below it ON TOP of what I have indicated on my Supplementary Travel documents?

Thanks.

Thank you AROWBERRY, I sent my application to NS today Nov 16, 2014.

You're right MONKUCHA but, when you go further down on the same page it says:

Question 4
Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:
•your country of nationality, or
•the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year.

Note: Do not select the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) as the immigration office requested to process your application. Although you may be required to submit your application to the CIO, you must indicate the name of an appropriate visa office using the criteria above.

Note: If you are applying from within Canada or being sponsored from within Canada, this question does not apply to you. Go to Question 5.

That's what I did!

I recommend to list all travel btw countries. Example: going back home on vocation, coming back to Canada to study/work, crossing the border to USA for Visa, ... Just be honest.
