Please help - Any idea how long it all takes? We have applied from Uk.

We first applied for a permenant residence visa under the skilled worker catagory in November 2004. We have been asked to update certifcates, police check etc twice now. We have paid landing fees and completed satisfactory medicals at the beginning of July 2007. Just wondering what happens now and how much longer the process is likely to take?

Would appreciate any comments in respect of timescale?

from what you say it looks like you are nearly at the finish line
it looks pretty good, i applied in london in april 05 and i got my file transfered to Buffalo NY in dec 06, and they transfered my file to Detriot in jan 07 so it looks like i am also on the home straight,
