Please help about proof of citizenship

I have an urgent question.
I am born canadian and my wife is Chinese. We just had a baby 2 weeks ago in China. I came back to Canada for work and my baby and my wife is still in China. The question is : can i apply proof of citizenship for my baby in Canada for her?( sending the application to nova Scotia). The reason why is because i can’t get time off to go back to China to go to the embassy and apply.

1. Yes, you can send it to Sydney as you are applying for child and you are in Canada.

Right now i am so stressed about the application as it stated (provide 2 forms of ID for them (one with a photograph). My baby does not have any form of id with or without pictures because its only 2 weeks old. I want to bring my baby back asap! Pleaseeee help!!

Well, you're going to need some ID. You must have the birth certificate, right?

Apply for TEMPORARY passport while you are making application for the proof of citizenship certificate...best you apply from China the wait time for the certificate wll be shorter...congrats for the birth of your son.
