my mother submitted the papers last march 2011 and im turning 21 in may 2011 and i just want to ask if do i have to be a full time student until the the final process of the application or until we recieve the visa?

I remember reading one of the immigration manuals that as long as you are under 22 years of age when the application is submitted, then you're fine to be considered a dependent child of the principal applicant. So i think you should be ok if you were included in your mother's application in March.

Maybe other forum posters have additional comments.

Your age should be locked in when the application is received by the visa office so you don't have to keep studying but you can not get married or enter into a common law relationship.

what if the processing is too long and of corse my age will be getting higher? is it possible that i will be disregarded?do i have to bother bout that?i need your reply please thank you

If your application was received by CIC before you turn 22 you will be processed accordinly (could be before you turn 23, but it sounds like yours should be received before you turn 21, so you're fine)... It could take 20 years to process and you should still be included... Just don't get married or live with a significant other for more than a year

I also red one of the immigration manuals that was given to me that as long as you are under 22 years of age when the application is submitted, then you are considered a dependent child of the principal applicant.

Yes, as long as you don't get married.
