VO rome sent me email on March 21st to send Original PCC from my country and gave me the timeline March 20 2017.?Could it be a mistake from the VO.And down to the VO email was written provide these documents within 60 days from this letter.Do u think that they have made an error about the date as they had to put May 20 2017?

Hello..i have applied my application in early feb 2017 and they rec. on 22nd feb..sent me only Schedule A request on 2nd march which i uploaded successfully..i have attached my pcc along with the application..and the background check i in progress..what time will they take to ask for medical..waiting for it..

Eagle is it normal that security checks have been in process for a year now? Does that indicate that they found something suspicious or is it just the standard time for middle east countries?

Yes it is an error on their behalf, you should have at least 60 days to provide your PCC. NO NEED TO PANIC.

Hello Dear,

It is possible that your file could get stuck in Back ground checks depending how sensitive is your profile. Again every case is different. Most ROUTINE CASES don't stay long in BGC.

What means sensitive in this case? Mine have been stuck pretty much a year and there should not be any reason for that. Or what could those reasons be? My criminal check is clean and I haven't lied about anything in application.

There is no need to panic here. By sensitive, I meant that your profile might have looked like a person who had been flagged by CIC until everything checks out.

Hi everyone, CIC requested my wife a week ago to do the medical exam again since it expired on march 23 and at the same time the background check changed to in process.

My wife got the medicals done already this Friday and the clinic had the emedical option as well, so I'm pretty sure they'll Send it through them but I also uploaded the file on MyCiC, it actually had instructions on how to do it specifically for that medical file.

In that case, how long till I hear back from them?

I've read all the msg's and advice you have given everybody and you've been so helpful. I was wondering if u can help me with situation.

I am spousoring my husband (outland app.). He got denied, we appealed, we won the appeal and now the app. Is in Ottawa. My husband has completed the background check. I called the call center and they told me that the background check is completed and he passed everything (med., security etc.).

My question is why is it taking so long for my husband to get a DM and PPR? It's been 3 weeks since the background was completed and on mycic it says background check is in process.

We won our appeal Dec 20,2016. We have done our 3rd medical Feb 11,2017 and our 4th Police check Feb 24th. Ecas says in process yet no request for passport or visa pickup in Havana since Jan 24,2017.
