So my spouse struggles with mental health stuff and I am sponsoring her. she was told by the panel doctor that she will most likely get letter saying she will need to get a psych report and do further investigation. Has anyone experienced this? How long will this delay our application? The doctor also said they can book an appointment for us that works along side there office but I feel like this may take months and months.. and last question. Who decided my spouse has to do the further report the doctor we went to see or the doctors at CIC (that’s what the doc told us).

Yes, many people have had furtherance requests for mental health reasons. Depending on the availability of an appointment, it could add time.
Furtherance requests are from IRCC doctors.
