My 120 days are going to expire on October 2. As my wife is pregnant and her expected date of delivery is Jan 20, 2011. What will be the appropriate time to submit the documents so that I get the Medicals after her delivery. Also pls tell me what will be the additional formalities after the birth of the child and what will be additional expenses that I will have to incur.

Congratulations on your parenthood.

I think you should send your complete app + supporting docs to your chosen CHC ASAP. Depending on your CHC it may take between 2 to 8 months before medical requests are issued. Besides, if medical requests are issued at a time when your spouse/or the new born/ won't be able to undergo medical examinations you could write your CHC to extend the deadline for submitting the examinations: I am quite sure that they WILL allow you reasonable time.

Once your unborn child is born you can update your application forms, photos, copies of passports along with 150CAD processing fee for the newborn.

Thanks a lot...my visa office is New Delhi...NOC 4131....from this forum I have made out that it takes around 4 to 5 months after submitting the documents
