Please advise if 4-5 lakhs funding would be enough to study in Canada.

Hi, I've done my B.Com from OU with 79% and worked at Amazon as senior CSA for a period of 2 years.
I belong to a typical Hindu middle class family. I'm just 22 and my mom wants me to get married asap whereas, I want to study.
In India any Masters is given value/preference in big companies when it's from a B school.
B schools require at least 20 lakhs if studying in India.
I've done a lot of research and I came to a conclusion that I'd like to study in Canada, not only because of the opportunities and facilities that I can avail there, but also for the reason that there are colleges like Memorial University of Newfoundland that offers Masters/diploma programs starting from 6000 CAD.
Because of which I'll now be taking Y axis consultancy help to guide me with the process of applying to this university.

1) I want to confirm if the tution fees that is displayed for this university i.e, 6000 CAD- 12000 CAD, is it the first semester fee or the whole program fees?

2) Do I need to deposit 10,000 cad before moving out of India and withdraw them for my monthly expenses? (as told by Visa academy consultants) or is it only that I need to show a bank balance of 10,000 CAD for one month that can be later taken out by my parents or spent on elsewhere?

3) What are the basis of getting scholarships as an International student?

Please advise .. :(

the fee is per semester, many other charges like books, services, extra curricular activities etc. will also be added as you take admission.
you need to deposit 10,000CAD as GIC from Canada whose receipt you will have to attack with your documents when you apply for visa and you will it receive quarterly.
if you study extraordinarily in the first semester, then you can apply for bursary.
I THINK YOUR COUNSELLOR DOES NOT KNOW MUCH

- Also, try and apply yourself if you can (and save some money). No need to hire a consultant as they have huge commissions and vested interests.

1) I want to confirm if the tution fees that is displayed for this university i.e, 6000 CAD- 12000 CAD, is it the first semester fee or the whole program fees?

Usually, colleges mention annual fees (it must be mentioned where you saw the fees). If you can post a screenshot or a link, it may help.. Usual cost of programs (all inclusive) in Ontario Colleges is around $14,000 (varies with program of course)

Another suggestion is to take into account living costs in addition to your fees. Living costs (rent, groceries etc.) are higher on east coast Canada (New Foundland and Nova Scotia) than Ontario. Please check all things and make an informed calculation before picking a college.

2) Do I need to deposit 10,000 cad before moving out of India and withdraw them for my monthly expenses? (as told by Visa academy consultants) or is it only that I need to show a bank balance of 10,000 CAD for one month that can be later taken out by my parents or spent on elsewhere?
- You need to deposit money in GIC, and you will be able to take out only a certain designated amount at a time. That money is locked-in and can't be withdrawn after a month.
- In the beginning, you will need enough for at least 1 semester tuition fees and some start up money for living expenses. Soon after, your GIC will kick-in and you can start using that to float your living costs. International students are also allowed to work 20h/week - So finding a job to fund some of your tuition fees can also be explored.

3) What are the basis of getting scholarships as an International student?
- Depends on the program and the college/Uni. Usually chances are better when you are in the program and are making good progress.

Please advise .. :(

Don't lose hope. Good luck! :)
