Please advice: received ITA under CEC with outdated score

Hey everyone,
I have a problem with my profile. I have originally received an ITA on March 20th (5th draw) under FSW with the score of 490. I declined this ITA since I wanted a CEC invitation. So I removed my foreign work experience and I then became only eligible for CEC with the score of 464. Eventually I received another ITA on March 27th (6th draw) under CEC. However, in the letter of invitation, my total score was still 490 and I received points for foreign work experience!! This is so confusing as my profile (which is locked right now) shows 464 and there is no sign of foreign work experience in my work history!
Does anyone have any advice? Should I continue with my application and include the employment letters from foreign work experience or decline this ITA again?
Thanks!

Thanks for your response, I called CIC in the morning and they said to fill up the case specific enquiry form, which I did. But meanwhile, I am trying to explore my options here since I may not hear from CIC on time.

This link might help you. (You have to remove the spaces in the link)

ww w. cic.gc.ca /english/immigrate/skilled/invitations. asp

From what i understand, if there is an issue with your score, and a recalculated score is lower, it's not a big deal if the recalculated score is still above the minimum score requirement for that draw. So essentially, since your score is either 490 or 464, the fact that both of these are above 453 (the minimum score in the sixth draw through which you were invited), you should be fine. This is just my interpretation of the section titled "changes to your personal situation" in the link I've pasted above.

Hope this help!

Unfortunately the same thing happened to me. I called CIC and they told me to be safe and decline ITA. According to them people are chosen before the information about the draw is released. Thats why we were invited under old score. I already declined my ITA and made sure that my profile is spotless for the next draw.

I had the same problem guys. I declined my ITA, deleted my old profile and created a new one without mentioning my foreign work experience. This is clearly a software problem and I don't trust CIC to fix it any time soon. In the prepopulated sections of the invite I declined, there was information and dates which I had changed over two months ago on my Express Entry profile. At the moment, it seems like whatever information you enter first on your EE profile, that is what you're stuck with until they fix their software or you create a new profile. The CIC agents you call haven't a clue and can tell you nothing

Is it complicated to create a new profile? are there any repercussions? My profile now shows correct updated scores and eligibility. Do you think if i get ITA it will be based on a very old data?

No it isn't complicated. I don't think there are any repercussions as long as you delete your old profile before the next round of invitations so that you don't get 2 invites in separate profiles (though I don't know anything for certain). If I am contacted about it at any point in the future I'll explain to them that I had to create a new one because of their software malfunction. Again I'm only guessing like anyone else, but I think your next ITA is still going to contain your old score from before you deleted your foreign work experience

If it is the software bug, then the draw will be performed according to which score? The old one(s) or the lastest one?

So the best solution would be to delete the old profile and create a new one. Excuse my ignorance, but how can I delete my EE profile? I have hard time finding any links to delete this profile. Do I have to remove MyCIC account?

You have the option to "Withdraw Profile" underneath your Express Entry profile after you decline your ITA. I don't know how you would remove your MyCIC account, I created a new one and my old one still exists. Obviously none of this is ideal but it's a matter of which is the bigger risk: 1 - accepting an invite with the wrong points and applying under that, 2 -hoping that eventually CIC will fix their system and the points don't eventually bottom out and start going up or 3 - creating a new profile entirely, getting a fresh invite and applying under that. I choose the last option as my best solution but it's really your own choice, we're all at the mercy of CIC's incompetence

Great, thanks a lot for your help! I'll create a new profile and apply again.

Hi Royca15/Karolis/Conor9900/any seniors,

A small clarification if anyone could please help me out with.. You all had mentioned that you had created a new profile to remove you foreign experience, so I'm assuming that you have provided just the Canadian exp. Is it okay to just declare experience that matches our primary occupation & whatever we can claim documentation for, instead of giving the entire experience?

My situation is that I have foreign & previous canadian experience in a different NOC than my current primary occupation NOC as mentioned below:

Nov 2003 - May 2008 (NOC 2283) Foreign Exp
Jun 2008 - Aug 2011 (NOC 2283) Canadian Exp
Sep 2011 - Oct 2012 (NOC 2283) Foreign Exp
Nov 2012 - Till Date (NOC 2281) Canadian Exp

I'm thinking of including only my recent canadian exp in Noc 2281 in my profile and not mention the first 3 exp in job history in my profile. Please advise if it's ok?
