Clearest ways: switch to visitor visa or study visa (both need money... :/ ) or extend your work permit with LMIA (if it's possible for you)

Time saving way: File an application for extending your work permit knowing it will be refused. It can give you 1-2 months on implied status (paper applications are slower). However, I read recently they reject and not refuse incomplete applications. The difference is, that rejecting means your implied status will be considered out of status after the process. (I don't have source for this...)

You also have to have a plan of moving home... You can still wait for ITA there... :/

I'm pretty sure 465 will be enough one day, but nobody knows when.

Best wishes!

I would suggest that if you don't get invited by the time your current t work permit expires, get your things in order and wait for ITA in your country of origin. Try to get more work experience or another academic credential while you are there and your points will increase. No point in wasting your time and money while on a tourist visa here.

I know it's really hard, but the safest thing would be to travel to your country of origin and wait there, while also gathering foreign work experience or another academic credential that will actually help by boosting your CRS points. Think big picture.

i agree with garj.just come back home, get more experience, study another credential, increase your ielts score n wait. i did the same thing when my permit expired, i got tourist visa few days after i booked my airplane ticket. no more wasting time n money in canada at this time. save your energy n money, working hard at home and come back one day. when you get to much stressed in canada, think /about how to stay here longer, how to live here without a job, what you can do if you get sick n no medical insurance cover..set yourself free, step back n restart

Thanks so much, it's just hard after investing so many years but I guess that might be the only option.. But with the new policy beginning in fall.. Heard it will favour international students.. My prayers is that it get implement in a few weeks...
